Double chin reduction
Deoxycholic Acid, the active ingredient in Kybella, in Knoxville, TN is used to help improve the appearance of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called double chin. This treatment is an option for those wanting more chin or jawline definition. It can be a great catalyst for contouring the face and reducing unwanted volume in areas such as under the chin. Deoxycholic acid is a bile acid that breaks down and absorbs fats. Kybella is a commonly known brand name of this product and is FDA approved.
Our nurse practitioner will first consult and examine you to see if you are a good candidate. At your treatment appointment we will apply topical numbing cream if desired prior to injecting the product. Small amounts will be injected to the treatment area. You should expect some swelling for 2-4 weeks. You may need a series of treatments to get your desired results. Treatments are spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
